how much for tuning?

i was trying to decide wheter to just go with a piggy bak lik the safc or with an fcon..but everyone is telling me that standalone is the way to go and ive heard good things about the microtech..heres what my setup is going to be. nothing major just standard stuff. 88t2 3"tid and k and n filter. rb 3inch turbo back system. walbro fuel pump and greddy 720 secondary injectors. possibly front mount but not sure yet. this is really all i have planned ..i just want to run high 13's would you guys still suggest i get the microtech or would i be fine with the safc. and back to my main question how much is it to tune the microtech? and i heard that the lt-8 comes with base settings correct?
thanks

the base setting from the LT8 will only allow you to drive your car to get it tuned. and not for boosting the car or driving it. it's just allows you get the car running. professionally tuned is what's it needs.

i would say about 2-3 hours for an experienced tuner. i checked the dealers for microtech in socal, SPD racing does it. or, you can go to Jeff at Autotechmotorsports, coz he has experience with the microtech in his 20B FD.

now my opinion:
if you're not short on cash, go standalone. u will ALWAYS benefit (performance wise) from full EMS than the stock ECU.
sorry, i do not drag, so i dont know what time you'll get with those mods. but i think (guess) that you'll have 220 to the wheels if you boost at 1bar (with afc), and about 30-40 more using an EMS. note, all talking from theory, ihave not tried them before.

but, my 89t2 chipped, and catback got 209 wrhp. i was boosting at 12psi. didnt got the chance to dyno the car with everything in it like the sig.

just my .02. hope it's helpful.
