How much to pay for an lt10 install?

Guys, just looking to find out what I should pay a shop to do an lt10 install with x4 and coils. Thanks

$400-500 seems more than fair for labor...thats what i charge for haltechs

You want rubbish. Then pay little money.

I charge 800 AUD for a haltech and 600 AUD for a microtech.

I use heatshrink and brand new plugs everywere and my harness can be unplugged at every point including earths and powers and all connections including crimped pins are soldered.

You want a car that will have a good electrical system for the next 20 years to come thats how it got to be done.

You want shitty jobs.

Pay 3-400 dollars and get some guy who thinks he knows a thing or two about wiring and youll get a car that never does the right things.

like wise...cheaper you pay cheaper the quality in most cases...i have no shop overhead and buy nylon braided wrap in 1000ft rolls...potted sensors and the works...its tedious work for sure and can take a day or more easily

Only one thing with braided wrap is its not resistant against oil and fuel. heat shrink is.

keep a tidy engine bay and you dont have to worry about oil or fuel...EVER :) thats my take on that....

Just for the record... My install was apparently wrong, even by the diagram. Had a reputable rotary shop look at it, and they found the ignition wiring to be mickey moused. They cut out all the wires, and routed the ignition wires into the factory loom. I took all the wires straight to the coils. Paid for 6 hours, $600. yea rape?

Routed the ignition wiring to the factory looom? umm thats fucken bodgy.

I dont follow the diagram to the tee but if you follow the diagram you wont have a problem AT ALL.

To the factory loom yes. At the kick panel where the ecu goes, there's a remaining harness seperate from the main engine harness.
