How to hook up the tach on a lt10?
Anyone how to hook the tach up? Im pretty sure I have to run a cable from the leading coil but where does it go?
grey/blue wire on lt10 is your tach output
you should have the 2 yellow stock connectors left where the ecu was...just find the small one and there is a yellow/blue wire. Cut yellow/blue and connect to your grey/blue on lt10 and done. |
We just tried that. Once we hooked up the yellow blue cable to the microtech tach.. The car wouldnt start?
well as long as ur on ur 3rd gen still thats all u need....did you hook everything else up meaning the rest of the cluster works?
Yeah everything else in the cluster works, just not the tach.. And we hooked those cables up, and car wasnt sparking it seemed, because I heard the fuel pump come on,. but I wasnt getting a red light from the Microtech. Just wouldnt start. But as soon as I pulled it off, it started right up.
Are you getting your tach signal from the microtech or the coils? Sorry got lost there lol
Im getting it from the Microtech, the tach on the microtech works, just need to figure out how to hook it up to the car so the car still starts? lol.. I thought it was suppose to come from the coils.
But I just found another issue which might have been the problem, so I am going to try the other cables again. |
yeah i tried it again, car started this time, but no dice on the tach :(
