Hg Levels jump around at high rpm
Hi
well i was on the dyno yesterday and everything was going good till i notice on my data log that at High rpm, my Hg level were jumping around. that created another problem, it caused the PUMP2 to keep bouncing ON/OFF causing power loss and spikes on the dyno read out. so i moved the map sensor hose in another location, and it didnt get any better. can some help me please (rx72c). :wallbash: (street poted 6 port, 550primaries and secondaries, the rotors have been NOTCHED.) |
The microtech map sensor is VERY sensitive.
Either use a filter on the vaccum line(fuel filter works fine), and/or increase the trigger setting on your pump 2 so it dosnt bounce on/off. |
what do you think if i turn it off, could that work? what would you do.

rx72c im have a hard time bringing my air fuel ratio up from 10.4, from 3000 to 5000. will adjustments to the load map fix that or RPM Wot. what do you reccomend.

HELP im at the DYNO as we speak.

Use the matrix table. Seriously, the LOAD maps and then the corrections to them via RPMWOT and the like is a very odd and poor way to tune. Just switch the ECU to matrix mode. The resolution is still very poor compared to every other standalone on the market, but it's a lot better then what I like to call "carburetor mode" that the ECU is defaulted to from the factory.
Have you also checked for noise on your power supply? A failing alternator or intermittent connection can cause all kinds of odd issues like this. Also, perhaps your wastegate is fluttering? |

Matrix mode will help make it better.
but it can be done in normal mode. You can switch the pump 2 setting off. Lean off the load map to get your desired afr at 3000rpm and then reload the engine at 4000rpm using the dyno brake and add fuel to the rpmwot map to flatten the afr curve. And do a few power runs ( the first few will most likely abort a little early so it dosnt go lean). take baby steps. |
