help please! microtech wont turn on ---

I have a 90 second gen that just got rebuilt . The car was running before i took out my microtech Lt8. Now the problem is that when i crank it on or turn the ignition switch the microtech does not turn on.Ive already have power and ground situated and swapped ecu's to see if mines is no good but that didn't work.I see the coolant temp senser is not hooked up due to it being broken but that shouldnt be the problem i just cant figure it out ??? Im clueless the car has 14 volts on my voltmeter guage so thats enough juice to power to run all my electronics!! please any help would sure be appreciated thanks

I just had the same problem with mine. My suggestion to you would be to make sure all the fuses in your fuse box are in working order (the problem I had was one of the fuses was popped). Was the Microtech working fine before, or is this the first time trying it out. If its your first time, make sure that your 12v ignition source is also a cranking ignition source.

Before i did the rebuilt the ecu was working fine ,but i have to double check thoses fuses. The 12v is ran strait to the main fuse box located in the engine bay.Does the 12v have to be run to ignition like when i put the car on the on position or is 12v wired right ? pleaes any advice would help im stumped thanks !

Ok microtechs are very simple.

You need a test light and a multimeter.

You need to make sure you have 12V ALL THE TIME on the

RED WIRE(at the microtech plug).

You need to make sure you have 12V on ignition AND crank on the

PINK WIRE(at the microtech plug)

You need to make sure that your Ground wire is earthed all the time on the

TWO BROWN WIRES(microtech plug).

Once you have the above 3 satisfied your microtech will switch on, if it dosnt your ecu is burnt.
