help me figure out how to remove the fuel pump relay.
 

Here is a diagram I made of how my fuel pump is setup right now. I use a microtech wich comes with a 30 amp relay but some how I wired it up with my old relay as well witch works but I don't like the mess of wires everywhere and would like to make this alot more simple. I'm basically looking at how to remove the stock fp relay and just keep the one for the microtech. Here is the diagram.

unless i'm missing something, pin 87 on the relay just goes to the blue fp wire?

pin 87 goes to the blue/red wire on the fuel pump relay.

this diagram may clear up some places where you can get confused.

I don't understand...you've tried to use the resistor pack again in the microtech setup?

If all you want to do is delete all that mess, run the pump's power wire from the directly to the high amp side of the relay, and ground the ground. I threw all that factory stuff in a box when I did the Haltech install.

I think I see what you were trying to do (modifying the pump voltage for idle?) and thats an interesting thought/feature for the standalone.

Edit: Pin 87 on the Mircotech relay should be going to the fuel pump's + wire.

The resistor pack and associate relays get trashed. The fuel pump gets connected exactly as in the Microtech wiring diagram. One side of the coil goes to the pink wire, one side to the green (?) wire. The common contact goes to your fused 12V source from the battery, and the normally open contact goes to the + wire of the fuel pump (blue in a stock application I think). That's basically all there is to it.

The stock fuel pump relays and resistor packs are of no use. In fact, my fuel pump relay sits on the workbench...

First off Thank you guys very much! Sometimes I have a tendency to way over think stuff. So basically I just trash the original resisitor and relay and do this simple little thing?
