Finding parts for microtech installation
Can anyone let me know where i can buy injector connectors etc for my microtech install? sad to say i already sold my turbo II harness away with all the connectors.
if anyone can help me out on this will be thoroughly appreciated. thanks so much |
I picked some up at the local Autozone -- but they are the square type, not round type. I'm not sure which type you need.

hi trav.... well what about the one used on stock harness? i think i need those...how much did u get it for...?

The connectors you buy have "pigtails" on them so it can be soldered or butt connected. If you're in aftermarket ECU section, I'd assume it's for aftermarket injectors which are all low impedence square top feed.
They're pretty cheap. Check auto parts store or Ebay. |

I don't remember the price, but they look exactly like the ones in the link that LT8TurboII posted -- except they already have the pigtails attached (as boosted1205) mentioned. They were cheap -- I almost want to say less than the $16 you'd spend at Summit. They are definitely the square end though. If you're using stock injectors, you'll need the round end, which I have no idea where you can get those -- I did some searching and couldn't find any so I gave up and cut the old ones off a previous harness and soldered them into the new. I know for a fact that Autozone carries the square connectors though -- in fact, I can get you the part number if you want it. I kept the empty box at home for just such an occasion. :)

ah alright thanks trav... i PM'ed you....
im going to use 2 rc engineering and 2 bosch style top feed injectors. hope i can find them.. what about the connectors for the various sensors? |
Trav...you autozone most be better than ours. The guy sent me to the junk yard. It paid off, (pick & Pull) as there was a 89 Rx-7 . I got the oval conectors from that car and the square ones out of a mitsubichi for my 1000cc, a CPU, and cup holders for $16.00
FC_mania....try the junk yard for conectors. |
The bosch injectors will definitely be square... not sure about the RC ones -- you could ask them, but I'd bet they'll be square too. In that case, I wouldn't bother w/ the junk yard, I'd just buy new. FC is in the same city as I, so should be able to get them. I'll check the part number when I go home (if I can remember this time) and post on this thread. I'll try to find my receipt too...
For the various sensors I just reused the old connectors. I had a junk harness that I could swipe them from so I had no reserves about chopping it up. |
You guys looking for connectors, here it is.
This guy is fast. I bought about 24 of them to keep it in the garage. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW |
I used the injector connectors off a Newer Ford Explorer when I did the microtech install, mine where damaged. They are much better of a design than the OE Connectors. They have been working great for about a year, No cracking and still go on and off easy. You won't have the horrible metal clip.

what other connectors for the various sensors in the car?
