Error codes, hom ref rpm.. what to try first?
LT8 throwing Hom,Ref, and Rpm error codes everytime I hit 3k rpm also comes with some hesitation. Throttle position is irrelevant. Idles fine no codes till the 3k hesitation, checked the loom on the cas sensor and it is properly shielded. Time for a new sensor? Just looking for some advice to try to save time/money.

Check the condition of the CAS plugs, and all associated wiring. Try swapping in a different CAS.
Often the wires crack comiing out of the connector and it's hard to see, until it fails.

or electrical noise, be sure the CAS loom is as far away from the alternator, ignition wires, coils and ignition amps as possible.
as mentioned check the wiring on the CAS and or swap it out with another. you can also try adjusting the air gap slightly down inside the CAS to get a better signal.

talking head
3k hesitation is from having the staging algorithm or the stage point incorrect for the injector groupings
the home and ref error is the cas signals being corrupted,, the obvious is already stated, bad join at the wiring grommet on the cas
AND OR
noisy non resistive plug and lead combinations ( at least one or both need to be resistive )
excessive CAS air gap
cas wiring routed too close to ignition or to the alternator or E fan
sometimes the cure is easy
but sometimes you find you need to buy some shielded coax and rewire the CAS wiring , routing it the long way around to avoid the alt and ignition
be sure to make the shield tie to earth at the ecu plug end

Hi Joel,
did you inspect cas plug and wiring, usually such errors may also appear if stalling happens moving through gears or coming to a stop.
ultimately noise on the cas would do this.
I utilized a crow to view the cas signal for noise as I had issues too. I re-made my cas cable and grounded shields on both ends.
