EMS Knock sensor logging???

Everything is finally mechanically present in my 7 and I've started the S5 TII engine in my SA and idled her several times. I'm running the Microtech LT-10 and can't wait to tune it in the spring. As such I've been researching tuning, AFR, EGT and timing and feel like i have a good grasp. The only thing I (and any sane person with a standalone) dread is detonation and preignition. In my research i stumbled on this thread:

Posted there are several datalogged maps including the knock sensor. Now I realize that the LT-10 doesnt have a timing correction feature based on a knock sensor, but I'm wondering if there is a way to wire it to the loggable 5v auxilary inputs it does include.

I suppose my question is " what is the voltage range of this sensor". Even if its milivolts, one might be able to use a EGT 5v converter to bring it into range. All i want to see is a graph, can judge the rest after its logged :).

Update: Upon exhaustive searching it turns out the knock sensor output is in AC and registers frequency rather than voltage much like a microphone. While there are a few systems (Knock Sense and J&S safe guards) that will allow me to log it, I think I'll end up going a simpler route. The old "cup and hose" technique has the advantage of being real time, or if I want to go 21st century ill attatch a mic to the block and run it through some big speakers!! xD
