600HP CLUB May 7, 2003 12:04 AM

HELL NAH my friend's built SOHC has some 11 sec time slips, pshhhhhh 300 with only 13 sec, u must be thinking with american WEIGHT, 300HP is 13 sec for maybe V8s but it's for sure hell isn't 13 sec/300hp in a RX-7 i'm sure of it.

It will be 15 seconds soon since my clutch is going to start slipping!!

hehe, no doubt

I did a couple passes last week, still untuned, running rich...

12.9 @ 107mph
12.7@ 112

those were my to runs.....I have the stock top mount IC, and might be pushing close to 300rwhp...don't know until I see some dyno time...

Pop-Off Valve

Hey Saabguy,
to control that boost creep at the top, you may consider a Pop-Off Valve instead of adding an external wastegate..

Just an idea...you can set it to bleed off everything from whatever setting you want....say 10psi and everything extra is vented (or whatever max boost you want). I have not tried it yet, but since I have a similiar setup with the same problem, I bought one and I am going to try it out after I get my car back on the road. Just .02 cents worth...hope that is helpful.

That is not a good idea, you will over spin your turbo and damage it. The best thing to do is port your waste gate.

I really dont care if my car hits 20 psi. I have about enough fuel for it and if I dont then I'll crank the pressure up about 10 psi.
