datalogging AFR with LT8s
Does anyone have any success doin this? i read on previous threads on making the 0-1v signal to go into the microtech.
i have a LT8s and a tech edge 1.5 wideband.... if u cant datalog your afr with your LT8s , how did u guys tune your car? |
From what I understand from more knowledgable sources, you CAN datalog AFRs with the LT8. Now the trick is datalogging a true WB signal. The LT8 will only log a 0-1v signal as you noted. But if you can get a WB signal into a true 0-1v, then the LT8 theoretically would log a WB signal. The trick is that not all 0-1v WB signals are the same -- some are linear, some are not. I think for the best accuracy, you'd want a linear signal -- there is some controversy on whether or not the Techedge can produce a true linear 0-1v WB signal.
My advice? Try it and see and let us know. I CAN tell you that I am myself going w/ the TE + LT8 setup w/ a Bosch 7057 sensor. Car is not assembled yet though, so I have no personal experiences to give you unfortunately. I will be running with TE's AFR guage though and will be comparing it to what the LT8 is indicating. |
hey trav , if u are free could i drop by your place so we could see how the tuning goes?
im in the middle of setting up everything too.. pls PM me if u want to thanks |
I got my plxm500 simulated narrowband going into my microtech. the farther away from 14.7 it gets the further off it is.

Well, I'm quite a ways off from being ready to tune mine, but when that time comes, I'd be happy to have extra observers. :)
Depending on how bad Christmas spending goes, it might be spring before I even have something that I can start tho! |
