D5 Model Thoughts

I have found what I believe to be a old microtech. It is said to be a model D5. Anyone have any info on this model? It does not come with the manual - It does have the harness and it came out of a turbo converted rx2. I am converting an rx2 and need an EMS.

umm yer

They are ok if the motor you intent to run is no bigger breathing than a stock 13B turbo with stock boost.

They are quick and easy to setup. I still have my D5 which i got 2nd hand years ago.

I love my d5. I also have the digi1 version which has same loom but digital rather than analog . I prefer the d5 its much quiker and easier to tune.

They may not be the latest technolgy but lets face it nethier is the fc3s or early model fd's.

It was only 7 years ago that the ausralians were still using the d5 in 9 sec drag cars. they do have plenty off potential but i gues that they dont have the ignition tuning capabilities that the modern units have.

I am now building a 400-450hp bridgeport turbo, and will still use the d5 to controll this set up. I dont think there will be any serious tuning limitations even with 1600cc injectors.

I say go the d5
