Cranking setting LTX-12

A two part question.. When starting the engine/cranking what cell in the attic table governs the fuelling or is it set of a generic base value and only controlled by the cranking map?
It seems if I get my idle set to a reasonable AFR the engine is harder to start, as on you need to give a bit of throttle. Should I be looking to adjust the crank map up and maybe AFt_St? Or is it a cell in the tables?

You hit the limit of microtech.

Microtech has 3 states: cranking, idle, and off-idle (TPS>0%).

You can't get what you are trying to achieve with those 3 states.

You need post start enrichment that all other ecu's offer but microtech does not. My haltech gives it 10% extra fuel for first 3 seconds, 7% for few seconds after that which gradually decrease until 0% at 20-30 seconds post start. That's just one thing it does. It has 10 other options to make sure it will fire up engine in cold desert morning, hot summer day, and heat soaked engine bay cooking under sun while having lunch, etc. etc.

Microtech will run the car and give you good WOT runs. If you start hunting down those subtle nuances of everyday driving, you will start to make it stupid rich to make up for all its transient downfalls. I suggest you understand limits of microtech and leave it at "good-enough", and to be fair it will be "good enough" for most situations.

Lol.. I reached the limits at engine startup! I will try and remember to look later but I assume cranking is taking fuel from one of the cells in the matrix table that it will sit in when I key over. If that is not something I use for idle I could try adding a bit in? Are you saying there is nothing to be gained adding to the cranking map? I know with my old Apexi I had to mess with that for different weather conditions. But I don't want to mess too much on this as I am not 100% I should! My warm idle is just in the 12's now. Just got to find what is happening around 63degs that it doesn't like and seems to demand a small spike in the water tell table to richen it up.. If I can work through that I should be pretty happy mid 12's idle. I am keeping in mind I will more than likely invest in a new ECU during downtime this year or next. But want it the best I can for now. Cheers for input.
