crank position sensor?
 
OK I swapped my 1st Gen with a rew I have a 12a front cover on the engine I'm gonna b ordering the microtech lt10 with the coils n I'm wondering if I'm going to need a crank sensor and a tone ring with the ecu I found full function makes a pick up ring and sensor bracket I'm just finding out if I need it or not

You will need to have the Microtech configured at the factory for the 2nd gen CAS, and run a FC CAS in the 12A front cover. You won't be able to run the FFE trigger with the Microtech.

Honestly, why would you buy a Microtech in this day an age? There are far better ECUs. If you just want a good basic ECU, have a look at the Haltech Sprint RE. That's basic control on the level of what the LT10 would give you except much higher resolution, modern software, better interpolation, more options, save/load maps, etc. etc.

Or step up one level to the Platinum Sport 1000 for the choice to run whatever trigger you want as well as a lot more I/O.
