Coil wiring question
This seems like a odd question, but I am wiring up my coils. I bought a used lt-8 system and I am trying to wire the coils. Trailing no problem. The leading is a single coil system, in the wiring diagram it says a power+ and a L1 and a L2. Do I just jump these together or what?
Thanks for the help |
What coil packs are you using?
You MUST AND I REPEAT MUST use factory s4/5 coil packs and ignitors. |
I am using the Factory coils, but for now I have them wired up without the ignitors. I guess I need to wire in the ignitors, but am not sure how they wire up.
|
easy to wire up.

Serious rx72c u should make a sticky, the thread that I had a while back with u telling me exactly how to wire up the LT8S was practically a sticky....
|
hahhaha. i dont have time to make a big thread, usually only on the computer for 10-15 minutes max at a time.
plus everytime i answer a question keeps it fresh in my mind. |
Thank you guys. I got it all wired and she started up last night first time. I was kinda supprised.
Thanks again |
Anyone using MSD boxes with microtech
|
I try to stay clear of msd. JUNK.
|
Msd
Can anyone verify this. If I have my distributor at -5 degrees. And my static timming on my microtech at +5 degrees. Does that put me at 0 degress prior to starting the car? Also my Ignition timming at idle is +10 on the microtech ignition map. When I unlock my timming map on the microtech and I put a timming light on my pulley should I be at +5 degrees?
|
Get rid of the static timing. Make that 0.
Then with the +10 at idle you will have at +5. |
Timming
Thanks
