cell parameters in the microtech

I know I mentioned this to Ray and Brandon when they were in Atlanta, but is the microtech going to eventually let you change the boost values in the cells dealing with postive manifold pressure? With the microtech, I think its a entry level stand alone, but the abilities are great and the software looked easy to use.

So if your planning on making no more than 14 or 15 psi on the stock map sensor, why have cells dedicated to more than that? Have the last pressure row be for 16, then work it back down to 0 manifold pressure in the 8 rows you have and have better resolution inbetween rows.

any ideas?

What?
Stock Map sensor?

The LT has a 2Bar internal sensor 20PSI
the LTX uses a 3Bar 30PSI

People get greedy with speed
you might say "well I only plan to run 12PSI"
but after you been running at that PSI and got use to it
you will want to add more boost

Thats Why

ehhhhhhhh - wrong :-)

The Difference between LT and LTX ecu's is that the LTX is configured to use bosch HEC715 coils or any other igniter-less coil!

the X has nothing to do with map sensors!

as for the ressolution - it's coming. it will be a feature added to new units that are being euipped from from the factory with more features and faster processors. the word we're getting from Microtech right now is that you won't be able to reconfigure current units to match all of the features of the new ones.

Some new models will have user defineable load points and the entire line of ecu's will have dealer defineable load points!

Great to hear again from you Ray. Glad you got to make it up to Atlanta that weekend and sell me on the microtech for my TII. I've also told another friend with a TII and he's planning on getting one as well.

Do it has an internal 20 psi map sensor, so soon we should be able to set the highest pressure row for saw 16 or 15 and work it down from there. Any idea on the time frame or can you buy it now, and either through software upgrade or firmware upgrade, be able to make the cell changes?

Thanks again,

Tim

typed my question before reading the entire post...sorry.

Yes, you pay for one now and we can probably pick it up for you while we are in australia in the next few weeks.

let me know what you want; computer, application(engine and chassis), and mods

i'll get an invoice drawn up and emailed to you.
