Bac valve control on lt10s

Should all microtechs be factory programmed to work with Mazda bac valves? I'm trying to purchase a bac valve to use on my FD uim that is on my s4 t2 engine and I've been told you have to tell them to program it for it , but someone else told me it will work and all mt are programmed to a valve to be controlled for idle etc.

Anyone have any info? My plan is to bench test one when I have one.

They are absolutely not pre-programmed for several models of Microtech. It is a factory option. However looking at the LT10 specs, it does have one output set as PWM idle. That's the output you would use for your BAC. So according to Microtech, all the LT10s are in fact set up for a BAC valve.

I'm curious to see how you do with it. Looking at the software there is only one or two parameters to set for the BAC. Doesn't look like many control options.

Bac valve control on lt10s

My friend said program will need to support a duty cycle based valve , there is control for the valve that will add fuel enrichment as well as air from the amount you have the valve open , there is also a fan enrichment that will add fuel when the electric fan comes on.

I found all this out just recently.

I need to get an fd bac valve and bench text it on test mode.

My engine is currently being rebuilt, it's getting pinned, ported, balanced and clearanced.
