air temp reading on hand controller is always negative

It doesn't matter how I plug it in, the reading is always -23 C on cold starts, and gets smaller as the temps rise. I am doubly sure that I wired the sensor right also. Could it just be a bad sensor??

sounds like a bad sensor.....you cant really wire it wrong. I'm pretty sure its not polarity dependent.

Yeah, if I remember correctly, my last sensor before it broke read fine, so it has to be the "new" one I got that's messed up.

its either the wrong or sensor or the sensor is fed.

the earth going to the sensor could be faulty as well

Definitely a bad sensor. I have one too... :( Exact same failure.

Would a bad sensor be the culprit of my horrible gas mileage in the morning? It says -23 C on startup, so I'm guessing the MT sees that an dumps a buttload of fuel.

my iat sensor never reads right on my microtech. I've tried 3 differant sensors with the same result. I don't know what the deal is with the microtech and the iat sensor.
