2nd/GSL-SE compatability.

Hi,

I see many Microtech ECU's up for sale on the 2nd gen parts forum. I have a 84 GSL-SE (13B) and unfortunately there's hardly anyone selling a MT ECU for a 1st gen. I am wondering if a MT ECU that was bought for 2nd gen will work with my SE? It is the harness that's different? If someone has a LT8 that they are using for their 2nd gen, what will I need to make it work for my SE?

Thanks,

Mike

You can use a 2nd gen microtech for your car no worries.

When people refer to "2nd gen microtech " it basically means to suit CAS off a 2nd gen. Which you either already have if your car was injected or you can easily fit from a 2nd gen into your car.

If it is a LT series then youll need to use factory coil packs and ignitors out of a 2nd gen.
If its a LTX series then make sure the ecu comes with bosch hec 715 coils.
