Yeah, I'm going to use the same guy that tuned your car. Thanks for giving me his info bro. Sounds like he knows his sh!t. I'm giving him a call back to set a time, after the engine is broke in.

Wow your 60' time is freaking awesome. Do you still have the stock rear end? What rpm did you launch at?

Yep still stock rear
I don't dump the clutch so theres less chance of breaking..... launch at 6000-6500 RPM

I need to fix the diff mount now tho
My plans are to sit the car for a while
to fix the diff mount, add a set of Tokico 5-way's and better springs
(still stock suspension)
ceramic coat everything
redo the exhaust system (too loud)
and get the car to the dyno afterwards for some fine tunning

crispeed 10-25-03 05:29 PM

Congrats Roger!
You should be around 350 to 380 rwhp with that mph!
Get it tuned and turn up the boost!:)

pianoprodigy 10-26-03 03:16 PM

Congrats! That's a lot better than the last time we talked about T-66s.

CheddaKing 11-13-03 08:44 PM

So it was street/strip tuned?
Did you use the hand controller or a laptop?
Was it tuned by ear/nose, O2, EGT, or butt dyno?

kabooski 11-13-03 09:34 PM

LoL

no it was hard rev tuned (hand controller)
revving the motor to like 8000 RPM
till it sounded clean and HARD!

then went for a test drive
and reported back how it felt and looked over the datalogs and made further adjustments

I can tell it is running a bit on the lean side
(not enough to hurt the motor just yet) by the color of the plugs after a hard run

I have not driven the car since that night
Were going to upgrade the fuel system
next week
and take it to the Dyno and pump up the boost to 18-20 PSI! on C16 of course

We just recieved the MicroTech WideBand! BTW
looks awesome.........

Evil Aviator 11-13-03 09:38 PM

Thanks, I ask strange questions like this because I sometimes wonder why I seem to be the only person who thinks that a hand controller is a good idea, and realizes that performance cars were around long before the O2 sensor was invented. :)

I fixed your thread title BTW.

10sec rx7 11-13-03 10:10 PM

evil,

i do 90% of my tuning with the hand controller, its much eaiser to make adjustments with, i also do most of my tuning in normal mode, the only time i use matrix mode is when i am setting up 2 or most boost settings on a boost controller as the RPMWOT often dosent work to well with more than 1 boost setting.

when i think it is right ill plug in the laptop and clean up the curve, and re check to make sure it is good,

Dale
