It helps if you label your files before you upload them. Naturally, it was the last one I downloaded that contained the datalog. :)

Looking at that log, there is a lot of info missing. CLT and injector time being the ones I'd want to see.

Now that said, if it all worked one day then didn't work the next, don't assume the problem is the tune.

Something else could have failed.

Bad CLT.

Bad injector.

High fuel pressure.

Multiple times I have seen situations like this where there is a totally unrelated failure. Usually in the fuel system, like an injector locking totally open.

Sorry Aaron, brain fart. I was doing something with my own log and forgot to put it back into the Defalt mode. I'll make sure it is labled this time. Raining cats and dogs right now. I already have the log get it to you this afternoon. if you go to the ms forum its already there matt is having me take some fuel out of the injector cranking section i'll let you know how that goes.

Hi Aaron. here is my latest MSL. It starts hard on one rotor and won't stay running but for a few second after I let off the key, even when I'm bumping the throttle, sometimes it will catch just to die again in a few seconds.

Aaron Cake 10-21-16 09:13 AM

If those AFRs and duty cycles are to be believed, based on that log I would say that you have lost fuel or spark on one side of the engine.

I have seen injectors fail many, many, many times causing this sort of thing.

And, uh, check compression just to be sure. I wouldn't assume bad compression but you never know.

spokanerxdude 10-21-16 05:30 PM

Thanks Aaron, I won't be able to look today but I have all day tomorrow to look at things. I did a compression test the other day thinking the same thing they were 95, and 90 using a standard compression gauge with the valve stem removed. I'll on the injectors and plugs. I may have to get new plugs they have been flooded and dried out a lot.

Aaron Cake 10-22-16 10:13 AM

Pondering those AFRs again I think you are lacking fuel to the bad rotor.

spokanerxdude 10-23-16 12:49 PM

Sense I wanted to upgrade anyway I have some gm truck coils and 85lbs injectors on there way.

spokanerxdude 10-31-16 07:51 PM

Got the injectors in yesterday and no luck, still just running on the back rotor. Waiting on the coils should be here tomorrow or the next day, if the weather cooperates I'll wire them up.

Aaron Cake 11-05-16 10:11 AM

Are the injectors firing though? Check with a stethoscope. Spark at least is easy enough to check.

spokanerxdude 11-07-16 07:42 PM

The good thing about the gm tbi you can see them firing. Both are good.

spokanerxdude 11-07-16 08:01 PM

Also got the coils wired and it made a difference It almost starts on both rotors now LOL. Been pulling fuel out of the cranking pulse in 5% increments, I'm at 20% now and plugs are still coming up wet so I took 5 points out of the VE map idle area to see if I can get it to go, ill do a log tomorrow. It was almost starting and now it's doing nothing but flooding. So guess I'll just keep pulling out fuel.

Ok Aaron got a new datalog.

spokanerxdude 11-10-16 09:53 AM

It Started!!!Got the beast running last night. runs on both rotors and sound good. At first it is running AFR's of 13 to 14 then it gets very rich, as high as 22 and dies. I'm thinking it's WUE so ill get it all the way wormed up today and see how thing go then. I'll have another data log in a couple of hours got locked out of here last night so couldn't leave a log. if you can't stand waiting there is a log on the ms3 Megasquirt forum under the same thread name.

Better late than never, lol. Here is the data log. I haven't said this in awhile but I really appreciate you guy helping me like this.

Aaron Cake 11-14-16 10:21 AM

Looking at the log it just seems very lean. When started and while the ASE is running it's around 17:1 then as soon as the ASE tapers off it's off the scale lean at 19:1. Add a bunch more fuel in the VE table where it is trying to run. Betting you need to see injector PW around 2.4mS to keep it running at about 1500 RPM.

Thanks Aaron
here is a new MSQ and MSL

Aaron Cake 11-15-16 09:28 AM

It's running!

Very rich up until record 285. You can start slowly decreasing fuel.

What the hell happened at 285 though?! Suddenly bounces up instantly to 18:1. Did you lose ignition on one rotor? Wideband malfunction? Fuel pressure? PW looks about the same from 284 - 286.

Looking at your VE table, your engine draws a lot of vacuum. I think you need to rescale the table and add a 20KPA line at the bottom.

spokanerxdude 11-18-16 05:59 AM

Got a a New computer for my Birthday/Christmas getting everything transferred over to it. I think what happened was that I started it cold and the wide band hadn't gone through it heating cycle and what you see is it coming online. But yes it is rich, I'll start working that as soon as i can get everything to the new computer transferred.
