NEWB Question -3.57 difficulty

I've read over arroncakes install and the megasquirt manuals and have a few things i was hoping someone could clear up for me. I am comfortable switching resistors, but adding the additional VR input and E-Fan Relay modification i'm not sure i'm comfortable with. I have a 13b PP with EMPI's and a distributor that i want to switch to fuel injection. With the new MS III with expansion board MS3x v3.57 it has two VR sensors, so can i use these rather than having to add an additional VR sensor like in Aaron Cakes instructions? Can i use one of the existing outputs to run the e-fan with an external relay or do i have to mod the board for that too? Is there any resource's or threads on installing megasquirt on a PP, or should i just spend the money to go with the Haltech? I haven't finished my homework yet, but in your expert opinion(ken and arroncake) if i'm not really comfortable modding the boards is megasquirt not for me? I'm a mechanic by trade, but i never got much ecu training back when i learned the trade seeing that most cars didn't have them at that time. Thanks a lot for helping a newb!

With MS3+ ms3x you shouldn't have to do any mods at all. The built-in 2nd vr input should work fine as should the built-in relay driver outputs for the fan.

Great!

Thanks Ken! That was my main concern. I finished reading most of the support docs that i could find and i'm really excited about making the conversion. It looks like there is great tuning potential and i should be able to make some good power/driveability gains. I'm also excited to have a launch control :)
