All motor Microsquirt build

Just bought a microsquirt v3
4 LS D585 truck coils
GM IAT and Coolant sensors
Tuning in Alpha N
Half bridge 13b
ITBs
2 injectors only ID1000's

Currently wiring everything in and will be close to starting this week.
So far I've added pull up resistors to WLED and ALED Ignition outputs
Going to work on adding 1/4 watt resistor to both VR's. Haven't decided on how or where to do it yet. Everything else is wired.

Used to using adaptronic with WARI software so ill be learning tuner studio.
Started the project by powering ecu and settings for everything to tune Alpha N only.

Any pointers and maybe some help timing map wise would be nice.
Upgrading from a F7B haltech fuel only setup lol.

Nice project here !! More pics of the bay maybe ? Where did you put the injectors ?
Btw, are 1000's going to be enough ? I plan to buy two 2000's for my PP so i'd think that you need 1300's on the safe side for a half bridge.

2 x 1100CC injectors will support about 350HP driven into the 90s duty cycle, depending on fuel pressure of course. Should be plenty if the engine isn't being revved to stratospheric levels.

What fuel pressure do you base your calculations on ?
My only data is my fd which is stock injector wise and 310bhp. so 1400cc per rotor for 155hp. Duty around 80%. Stock fuel pressure.

Didn't calculate, went from experience.

FDs need much richer WOT ratios than NA applications.

Normally I run 45 PSI base pressure.

.

Hi, i had installed and tuned a few cars with microsquirt on a 13b turbo and n/a engines.
I have a customer with an all motor engine is making 289hp to the wheel.I suggest not to use those coils because there are a lot of people having problems with those coils auto firing never happened to me but I saw the problem on a car.I use corvette coils use the same connector and work great. Here is a video of the all motor car

Chango, what size of injectors do you used on this 289hp engine ? How much cc per rotor ?

chango de naranjito 09-04-15 09:59 PM

I used 4 1600cc injectors 2 per rotor but that car runs on methanol, for gas i normaly use 4 850cc injectors

Auto firing only happens when there is too much dwell.
