Basemap for E85
 

Ok. now i kinda gotten tired of trying myself. anyone have a basemap for E85? i run 1260cc precision injectors on primary. 45psi fuel pressure. Big streetport. 8.5 rotors.

I get it to run sometimes but its really hard to get it going and when i do i dont get the AFR to be any good.

Anyone can help me make a basemap so i can get the car to a tuner and dont have to pay a fortune. dont want him to spend 5 hours with the dyno rental just so he can sit and make a basemap :P

Interested to see what folks recommend.

Yeah. I have been sitting in my car and tried to get it to work but with no luck.

when it runs, does it run for long? does it always run for the same amount of time before dying? do you have all the warmup features turned off?

i have tried tuning for both warmup and without. it can run for a couple of minutes. then it dies. then its realy hard to start again. maybe its because I'm a bad tuner :P

Post your pcl file, and a data log of it starting till the point it dies.

sorry dont have a log file and i had to tow the car to a storage facility where i dont have the big ability to tinkle with it.

I tried the basemap that was uploaded here and then i got it started for a while.

Here is one where i got it to run for a little while with just playing around with the map and warmup and crank enrichment.

Got another PCL from a member on the vipec forum but no success there. starting to loose hope.

whats your email address i messed about with that map a touch in the idle areas i can send it to you if you like? can you log it when you try to start it?

got it to work :) helps if the injectors are working. turned out that one of my primaries was having its own life so i changed it out to a new set of siemens 2400cc and now it runns fine. went to the dyno and got to high pressure in the manifold so we ended at 522RWHP. a S475 is on its way in :)

Are you running straight E85? I'm looking to run E85 in my project car but also have the flexfuel ability to fill up with either gas or E85. Everything I've found has indicated this can be done utilizing a 4D map tied to the felxfuel sensor.

yes i am running straight E85 with 2% premix of motul micro 2t. im running a normal vipec v88 right now but i will be changing to autronic this weekend.

a good tuner can get it idling quick in less than 10 minutes, if is tunning

yeah we found the problem. bad injector. changed the primaries out to siemens 2440cc. sad thing now is i broke my rear side plate. changing out the vipec for an autronic sm4. sold my new s475 turbo as well and ordered a s480 with a racecover. (hope its enough) also ordered a new manifold. and while the engine is apart im going semi-pp. do you think that will push out a few more horses? video from last dyno is here
