Thinking about moving to Puerto Rico
As the title states...
I just wanted to get some input from those who reside there. I was thinking more along the lines of Vieques Island. There is a bar/restaurant for sale there that I was thinking about purchasing with a friend. I know it's more of a tourist destination but I think that's the kind of place where these businesses thrive. If anyone knows of the area and could give me some input I'd be very appreciative! Gracias!!! |
I don't know anything about Puerto Rico, but have always dreamed of doing the same thing. Anyone out there done something like this?

Lo unico que te puedeo decir es que vieques tenia mas turismo cuando estaba la base alli, pero ahora no sabria decirte.

you can make money in Vieques doing the right stuff. Theres alot of american people there with money. If you make something nice you will be cashing. Be advice that the only way to get supplies there is by ferry and you got to know the right people and make sure you tip them and the world will be yours.

From talking to my sister who lives in P.R. Vieques is becoming a great tourist attraction. She goes often and she tells me it stays pretty busy.

Vieques is a great spot, tourism and business is booming since the Army left and will continue to do so! I wish I could move there!

Once they finish cleaning out all the unexploded munitions in the old impact areas it will get even better. After the Navy closed the base in Ceiba( Roosevelt Roads) they had no use for the bombing ranges in Vieques. Hope to go next summer for some nice scuba diving.

I lived in Puerto Rico right before I joined the military. One thing I can say is that it is GREAT!. I met my wife there. My only concern with Vieques is that is is about an hour and a half fairy ride to the mainland. If I were to invest I would make sure that I had a pad on the mainland as well as vieques.
