Well Im from Brazil and been in the states for 10 years now. I had never seen one before when i was there and i tried looking at importing mine and its seems like an almost impossible thing to do. Importing laws in Brazil are just plain retarded. You can't import any car unless it's a collector's car which has to be registered as a collectors and at least 30 years of age. Or it has to be brand new. And thats not even counting all the importing fees and taxes and other charges that apply. When is all said and done youre looking at paying at least 100% of the total amount of the car you're sending to get it there legally including shipping and what not.

Although, i read in a Brazilian forum once that with the whole "drift" thing getting bigger and bigger in Brazil, a lot of people were able to bring in some Japanese imports for competition purposes and sporting events. You know you could import it paying all the fees and what not but it would have to be a car for the track only... Now Im not really into that kinda thing so i didnt even look into it that much.

Hey BEEF are you brazi too?
You live in boston? Ive always had the impression I was the only Brazi with an rx-7 around here. Let me know if youre ever around we should meet up or something.

I once saw a rotary powerd Miata that a street racer had in Sao Paulo. I have no idea where he got the engine from, but it was very rare.

I NEVER saw an RX-7 in Brazil and I lived there for years.

Check the haltech site, And then retailers. There was a few shops down there ( one in fortaleza and one in sao paulo I think that had shop FD's with single kits. ).

A friend knew one of the guys from the mechnics shop in sao paulo, and he said they were rare down their. But that they existed.
