Rx-7 vs RSX??

What do you all think should be the outcome of a stock 93 Rx7 and a 04 Aura Rsx with racing headers, intake, and exhaust at about a 60MPH roll in third???

LT1 RX7 12-26-07 04:42 PM

This belongs in the general section. This is not a kill. Read the rules before posting. I don't understand why people keep posting these questions here. :wallbash:

IEATVtec 12-26-07 04:43 PM

rsx is overrated! rx7 pwn rsx

cten 12-26-07 04:52 PM

From a stop I know that the Rsx has NO CHANCE but at a roll I think it has a slight chance because of VTEC

Stock FD, as long as its running good.

You're lighter, have more power and you're turbo.

Thats 3 strikes on the rsx. Hes out.

djmtsu 12-26-07 06:14 PM

Uh, RSX's are not that fast. Not even a Type S. One of my really good friends has one, and it is no contest. And thats against my FC. I would not worry too much about it in an FD.

scoobync 12-26-07 11:29 PM

yup, rsx heavy as ##ck.. unless civic hatch w/ k20a swap n kpro etc..that's gonna be a good race from roll.

Upgrayedd 12-26-07 11:31 PM

RSX will only keep up if it has a supercharger, that's based on my experiences. A supercharged RSX is about even with stock FD. Bolt on RSX doesn't stand a chance.

rx7legend 12-27-07 12:07 AM

well i raced one a couple years ago and it had all bolt ons, exhaust, intake, headers etc. it also had skunk2racing cams, camgears and a hondata. he beat me by a fair 3+ car lenghts. my 1990 TII was stock, only mod was a turbosmart bov. if i would've had at least an exhaust i would've smoke him for sure, but i don't think you will have any problems if he has only those mods. you have to smoke him bad even if your fd is stock.

Even at a roll?

turboIIrotary 12-27-07 01:14 AM

race and tell us the outcome

scoobync 12-27-07 06:09 AM

yup....wanna see the result ;)

cten 12-27-07 09:51 AM

Raced him his way at about a 60 or 70 mph roll and beat him by a car

dozer 12-27-07 10:31 AM

rsx type s arent really that quick...ive easily beatin a couple of em in my stock 8 off a launch

KillaKitiie 12-27-07 10:37 AM

Welp thats what he gets for buying a"sport compact car" hahaha

The 7 never loses to FWD guy's! NEVER!!

scratchjunkie 12-27-07 12:00 PM

won buy 1 car? hahahahaha you need an engine rebuild dude.

MADDSLOW 12-27-07 01:15 PM

You should have won by more than 1 car...

cten 12-27-07 01:18 PM

how much more, and remember this wasnt from a stop, cause I would have killed his ass then!!

Upgrayedd 12-27-07 01:27 PM

On the highway you should kill him worse than from a dig. What was your shut down speed? Did you get into 4th or stop at the top of 3rd gear, cuz once you hit 4th you should walk away....

siguy2k 12-27-07 01:30 PM

Theres this kid in my hometown with a type s. He supercharged it and blew the motor. So he got a type R motor and he really wants to run me. Hes got full exhaust intake and a kpro. Its funny they think that type R thing makes a big difference.:rlaugh:

If I'm not mistaken the "Type R" motor is a K series 2.0L but not the same version as the USDM Type S motor, kinda like the Si is a K Series but different model. Unless he did something extremely stupid like buying a B series Type R motor...? I once owned a 97 Integra, but I'm not really Honda literate... never was. Just loved the appearance of the Integra. Mine looked sexy as hell... So they stole it lol Thank you much I bought an FD to "replace" it

Oh and I forgot to mention that when I raced the supercharged RSX I was running 4 psi thanks to a blown coupler on the Y-Pipe/Crossover pipe joint.

yes, you should not have any problems from a roll or from a dig if those are his only mods. the rsx i raced was pushing well over 200whp and for a n/a that's damn good. but with the mods the rsx your racing have i bet his pushing like 170whp at most. like i said, you should smoke him either from a dig or a roll with no problems.

cten 12-27-07 02:02 PM

I appreciate the comments, I just wanted to get someone else's opinion about the race. The RSX also was an 06 RSX which I think comes with type r cams and responds good to bolt on mods. The FD will definately walk on him by car some lengths next time!

Upgrayedd 12-27-07 02:44 PM

Basic bolt ons and a 75 shot of nitrous an acquaintance's '04 RSX put down 206whp... Extremely disappointed he sold it and bought an Evo...

1QWIK7 12-27-07 03:04 PM

What MPH did you guys shut down at?
