GT42R RX7 vs 07 CBR600RR

We went from a 40 - 130mph roll. I was running 20 psi but I was on my shitty street tires so I spun all of second and part of 3rd.

Anyway here you go:

The car sounds awesome. Good touch with the chick asking if she smells something smoking after you smoked the bike. LOL I don't think that's what she meant, but funny anyway.

greg schroeder 09-14-07 04:52 PM

I checked out some data on your 2, 3, 4 pass. You hammered that in about 9 seconds if you watch the video. Very impressive. My old FD took 11.2 to do the same thing. You would have been about 200 ft in front of my last FD when you hit 130 mph. That's one quick FD you have my freind.

Oh yeah, I guess you're right. I see the bike's tail light now. The video was dark on my screen, so I had to go by assuming he won. My bad.

One fast FD either way.

turbodrx7 09-14-07 05:02 PM

Nice run, get some tires and spank him.

rotarymandan 09-14-07 08:20 PM

Awesome. I wish I could hand with bikes in my FD!

1QWIK7 09-14-07 08:24 PM

Nice race.

Should started from 60mph and brake boosted?

I think his lead woulda been alot smaller.

RX7 RAGE 09-14-07 09:04 PM

What wideband are you using?

streetRx7 09-14-07 09:17 PM

looks a lil rich on wideband....mid 10.s AFR... an lower...good run car sounds really good...

matty 09-14-07 10:25 PM

i have seen alot of your vids...tks for sharing.

i want to see some 130 plus traps out of that thing. shit with 500rwhp u should be gettign that.

JustinStrife 09-14-07 10:57 PM

I love smoking 600cc bikes. :lol2: Granted it's not with my FD, but that'll come when I get more funds. In the meantime, my boosted C5 gets that honor.

Awesome FD you have. Get some good tires on there and smoke him. :icon_tup:

The wideband is a PLX. Oh and you can't see it because its on my steering column. The gauge with the digital red numbers is an air intake temp gauge pre throttle body.

joe-c 09-15-07 09:45 PM

wat kind of intercooler are you using and manifold?

Rootski 09-15-07 09:53 PM

The 7 sounds more like a sportbike than the sportbike does.

pwwatkins 09-16-07 05:59 AM

I figured that a 500hp rx7 would take a 600cc bike pretty easy? How much does it take? What do you need for something like an r1?

i agree...i would bet that u can eat bigger bikes as well on the highway if u had stickier tires.

your car is an inspiration for me to go single. i def got the money but my thing is that the car has just been so good to me running flawlessly for 7 yrs making 360rwhp on the stock twins. i would hate to go single and deal with shit breaking or even just dealing with getting the thing dialed in. there are no good shops locally. i;de hate to have to drive back and forth from CT to PA just to get the thing dialed in. i see time and time again....u always just need that one more part wether its more fuel or a better wastegate or something in order to get it dialed into to its full potential.

when the engine goes i will def go big turbo and half bridge though but so far i just cant kill the thing. and believe me she gets worked out everytime i drive it!!!!!

Earlier in the summer, when I had C16 in the tank and running 24psi. My buddies set up a race with me vs a 02-04? Honda RC51, 07 GSXR 1000, and a 04 GSXR 750, ALL of which were MODDED. We went on the interstate 4 deep from a 40 roll. I got the jump and about 2.5 seconds later the GSXR1000 goes by me on a wheelie, riding it out all the way. The RC51 started falling back and the GSXR750 fell back and held its ground. I stopped at ~160 with the GSXR1000 buses infront of me. (He said he took it to 190mph). The RC51 was about 3-4 cars back and the GSXR750 was about 1.5-2 cars back. Awesome race but I didnt have my camera with me......... :wallbash:

Nice run, bikes are just getting faster and faster. Its amazing what new 600s are capable of compared to just a few years ago. I used to own an '04 CBR600, and at the same time a friend of mine had a 99 ZX-7R (750cc). With my ~300RWHP FD, I could stay even with, or slightly pull both bikes from a 60 roll. Then I ran an 06 CBR600, and it pulled away from me like a freight train. I do agree though that with your power and traction, you shouldnt have a problem with anything less than a liter-bike. Nice run.
