2006 Civic Si Vs. 1990 Modded N/A
#128
If you actually thought I said the CIVIC was a minivan then you did not comprehend my post. I said it's a mini-minivan, which is my opinion on how it looks.
Enjoy your mini Odyssey.

If you want to talk about boost in a k-series being better that means you ADDED the turbo. That would mean that you get to ADD a turbo to the 13b in order to make it fair. Since the stock turbo(s) can take you from 250whp(13bt) to 350whp(?)(13bre) I think it's safe to say you would have to dump a lot more cash in the K series in order to catch up to even stock turbo levels. I fail to see how that is "better" unless you are talking about not keeping the amount of $ dumped into both engines equal. If you aren't talking about equal $ then your argument is worthless.

Sure, there are probably people running 14's in new Si's, but the reality is most people are probably in the low 15's thanks to how difficult the launch is in a high strung FWD car. It's rediculously easy and cheap to get to 250whp in a TII, so most Si's will be way behind.

I'm not really sure why you even compare the two. The civic isn't a "sports car", sure its sporty but the Rx was built to run the civic was built for fun. Thats like comparing my friends supercharged regal to a vette, yeah the regal has some ***** but it wasn't built to perform like the vette.

Well to keep this crazy thread going....I should tell you guys about a race I had last night. Pictures will be up soon. My friend videotaped it...but my memory was full and it didnt save(need a SD card). Just goes to show how fairly fast my N/A truley is....
2005 Dodge 5.7 Hemi 1500 Short Bed
Headers/Straight through ehxust
AEM Intake
First off, the guy who owns the truck is my best friend since 6th grade. No questions about him not "going at it". This was all planned out. We even drove to a semi- abandoned road for a dig race. No Bullshit, believe me nor not, your choice.
He is an automatic....so i get the jump on him everytime we go at it. Its really not fair to say that I really "gained" on him, since he cant launch like i can. but anywhoo...
Dig= I get a half length off the line. By 80 mph he is even with me (slowly walking). By 100 my nose is at his door.
40 Roll= He has to downshift so i get the half length jump on him again....then he starts to creep past me. By 100 he has me by a half length again.
70 Roll= His gearing is made for Highway rolls! I dont get much of a jump on him this time. Just very slowly creeps by me. Aerodynamics are taking their toll on him now.
Mods in sig. of course.
What do ya think, pics up soon.

On top of that you can make around 230whp on that K20Z on non-aftermarket parts. Gotta love it.

you said Honda/nice (not fast) and in your case you have a faster car, but hey, it's not nice......
somethin's wrong.. I love Honda, I don't keep my cars stock except my DD. You mean Hondas are nice for commuting, yes that's right... but alot of us Honda people actually like to mod them.
