which one do you have? if you have the one with the fins, then it might work since the diffuser has an opening for the exhaust anyways, depends on how big that opening is, no guarantee. If you have the other one, then it will work for sure.

ive seen aluminum versions before but not sure who made them. i don't think aluminum would be good anyway since it can transmit a lot of heat fast. unless the backing was covered in some kind of insulation

yes, the whole point for using CF and heat resistant clear coat is to resist heat from transferring to the bumper not conducting. :)
