Hi, my name is joey. I live in orlando with my wife and 1 year old son. My current vehicle is an 1985 nissan 300zx 2+2 that I have converted to turbo (na2t) with extensive modifications and repairs. I have been daily driving it for over 3 years now. Got me through the automotive program where I graduated head of the class and earned my aas degree in automotive technology. I met my wife while in college and it's been great since.

My wife is a uk national and we have decided to move to the uk, London area. So now I am selling my z and looks like we will be flying to england mid march.

That said, I have decided that I would take on the next challenge and have an FC rx7 na for my next vehicle to daily while loving in england.

I am to understand the most challenging will probably be to make the car mot (emissions compliant) which it looks like the air injection valve plays a huge role in keeping the af mixture around 14.7.

I have done some reading over the last few days and see how to use a piston engine compression checker to verify the condition of the rotor seals and such.

I'm very excited and cannot wait to finally own a rotary.

Mods I can think of that I'm interested in doing are racing beat headers(or similar) High flow cats, and racing beat or equivalent catbacks. Cone air filter and if I need to rebuild the engine perhaps a street port and bridge port on 1 rotor (the second rotor?)

And of course things like poly mounts, electric fans, and the usual tune up things.

Any advice or direction is appreciated. Particularly what will and will not pass mot. I'm convinced that I can run upgraded exhaust and use high flow cats and still pass.

Thanks for reading. I'll post pics of my z car if anyone is interested.
