In two (RX-7) deep Hello from frozen Alberta

Hello Forum,

I am the proud owner of two 1985 GS models, both 12A's ,one has a Japan Motor rebuild engine, and the other 130,000 Kms. I have done some mechanical work on both. The first one I owned started life in Seattle, I picked it up in New Orleans for 300 $, it has circumnavigated North America and went a 189,000 miles before the little 12A gave up the ghost, hence the rebuild.

I love the cars but I am hesitant to spend any more money on them because there value only seems to be 2000 $ . I would love to but a ground effects kit on one and the full 13B turbo race engine, I have the money. just can't wrap my head around the lack of resale value. I think the wife would divorce me, her panties are still in a knot over buying the second on 2 weeks ago.
I do love the curves and stance of the third gens more then the firsrt gen, second gen does nothing for me.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Over and out,

1980 Mazda RX-7 with nice metallic blue MAACO paint job, nat asp Rotary Performance big streetport 12A, custom stereo...totally destroyed in wreck.

I got the other guy's insurance to fork over $4500 for it. An insurance company. I was not injured.

In the end, though, RX-7's are not about collectibles. It's about driving them and enjoying them. ;)

Life is to short to worry about resale value.
