Hola mazda people, i joined when I was about 17 or 18 and had goals to build my first rx7 but I ended up buying and selling a ton of first gens and a few second gens and never really got serious about working on one car so I never really updated any of my threads.
Last year I had put together an rx2 sedan with an s5 6 port and dellorto which was fun til I blew up the trans. I had also purchased an 808 coupé a few years back but was very overwhelmed with the amount of work involved with it... And so it sat....
After blowing up the trans in my rx2 I had bought a clean 85 hard top with the intent of dropping my s5 engine into it to daily. For some reason I wasn't getting spark and a GSL-SE I've missed out on a few times locally popped up at the right time so I bought it and let my hardtop project sit through the winter. I also purchased a full running t2 swap over the winter to put into ONE of my rust buckets haha.

I had pretty much decided to swap the motor into my 808 coupé when a rx3 wagon popped up for a fair price for 1000 miles away so I sold some stuff and went to get it.... What a mistake. That car ended up being the absolute worst rust bucket I've ever seen... Now I had too many cars and not enough space and I had to make a decision that was hard for me, which car to sell... (You just wanna keep em all ya kno?)
I decided that if I wanted to build an rx3 I needed to keep the wagon and get rid of the rx2 (this was mainly hard because it was quite a bit nicer than the 808 coupe or my rx3 wagon..)
After the setback of buying the wagon which honestly turned out to be a blessing in disguise (ie 12a nose cone ;) ) I have finally began to dig into my 808.

I'm not sure if I quite know what I'm getting myself into... Or if I should feel as confident as I do... But I'll be sure to share plenty of pics and ask plenty of stupid questions... Maybe I'll even keep my stuff updated on this forum this time ;)
