Hello to all those who read!
Though this is day one with the ownership and my nice new beat up 93 lhd touring, this project started years ago, with the disire to own and build a rx7 fd. In my opinion the third gen body type is one of the most natural shaped cars, with very comfortable driving position.
Im am not claiming to know much about these cars, but also have done some research and hope being a part of this RX7 Club will only increase what I know.
So here is the story, I needed a project, something productive and positive, something I could love. I won't get all sappy or personal but this project is in memory of a lost close friend, I have always had an interest in cars, how they work, how they are built, and how to make them beautiful again! I spent a long time deciding what I want to build and for a body type couldn't think of anything more interesting for a build platform then a FD. At first I heard the rumours wankles overheat and blow seals, and was all on board the 2jz train... till I found out what that transmission costs... maybe one day... in another shell! But as I learned more I realized the 13b is a great motor... I think it is unique and one of a kind in the car world, it takes an enthusiast to understand why this motor is amazing, between the sound, and power to weight ratio, not to mention the weight displacement over the tires thanks much to the 13b
