Newbie here don't know anything about these but one day was sitting in a chinese restaurant eating dinner with some friends and we were talking cars, when the owner of the restaurant heard our conversation and came up and asked if I would be interested in his 1987 RX7. At first I thought no because already have a toyota MR2 , but when he said 500 bucks , I could not turn it down.when I first saw it... it was a terrible site ,owner claims it has set for almost 5 years... all 4 tires were flat, windshield is cracked, paint clear coat is shot , but surprisingly rust free , apparently the owner never drove it in the winter, and the car is complete , this is the non-turbo... so my son and I towed it home on a trailer not knowing anything about rotary engines. Owner said one day it just would not start, he figured the apex seals are gone, it has 130,000 on the clock...we took it home and we hooked up a battery and sprayed some ether in it, and it fired right up until the ether ran out. So know we have it sitting in our driveway trying to learn all we can about it.hope to get it running with help of experienced members on the site...
