New to the rx7 club with pics
I'll start off with my name and a little history about myself.
My name is Kevin and I live in the Cincinnati Ohio area. I just recently purchased a 93 fd R1 that is black on black. Has tien coilover setup on it with some liquid metal 18x9.5 all around. The car is mostly stock other than having a Greddy catback on it and some interior mods of which I kinda like because someone did a nice job on everything bit the sterieo system is kinda overkill. Ive been messing with cars for some time now so I do have alot of knowledge on mostly everything other than the whole rotory setup so I will most likely be asking questions from time to time. My history on cars started off with a honda that I built running 20 lbs of boost and ran a best of 12.55 in the quarter. I messed with that car for around 5 yrs then moved on to a LS1 6 speed camaro stock with best time of 13.55 in the quarter. Sold it to buy a 02 WRX did a few light mods and ended up putting down 275 hp on a dynapak dyno but never went to the track. Sold that and now i'm here. Well sorry for the long intro but here are some pics of my new ride. Hopefully they show up. Thanks for looking. http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._3949310_n.jpg http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._6979748_n.jpg http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._8001300_n.jpg http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._3650084_n.jpg http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._4391906_n.jpg http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._2521652_n.jpg |
You got a really nice car man, I wish I could have came across a newer RX-7 but after getting my 91 I wanted something that you don't really see around my area.
My name is Tyler, and I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and I just puchased a 1991 Mazda Rx-7 GXL not very long ago, I also have a 86 Mazda Rx-7 that I'm using for parts. When I first got my 91, It was able to start up after a while since it had been sitting for adleast 3 months or so, When it started up It was blowing a large amount of white smoke, which indicated to me that the coolant seals are blown, I'm looking to make this car my project car but I'm wanting to get it running before summer ends, I have some other stuff to do to it besides the engine but that it nothing that is a problem to me. Its gonna take some TLC to it, but its gonna be amazing once it's all complete, I got lot's of work ahead of me but it just inspires me more. http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/...ikal/rx7-1.jpg http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/...4661l84_20.jpg http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/...49734fj_20.jpg http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/...6362f47_20.jpg |

Had to check my garage, thought you stole mine! Nice, almost like mine, you'll enjoy exploiting the potential from the sounds of it...

Nice Find.

Thanks for all the compliments. Since I got the car and been messing with it Ive been thinking of painting the lip on the wheels either anodized red or black since they are peeling a bit. What do you guys think?
