New Owner - 1994 RX-7 Touring FD
My name is Johnq just picked up this beautiful 1994 Mazda RX-7 FD. The car has 94k verified miles wiht 30k on a factory fresh engine from previous owner. Car runs strong however will like to confirm via compression test . Plan to do a major service and make this car a daily reliable car. Located in SoCal so keep an eye out for it.

This is me showing my age, but there's just something sort of hilarious about a Gen 3 in a parking garage, next to a fire extinguisher. :D |
After one week of ownership had my first RX-7 FD break down. Was cruising along the coast and car lost all power, smoke coming from the front left. Once lifted up there was visible damage to the main wiring harness due to the car being too low and the wheels rubbing the shielding and exposing copper wires. Few of the wires were shorted and burned all the way to the breaker box. Pretty much had to redo the whole wiring harness :(

Ouch! Sorry to hear that but great looking car, those wheels are slick. Looks like you have a good shop working on it. Keep us posted. Hopefully you will be back in action soon. |
