New Member from New Zealand!

Hey guys I'm Chris.
I'm way down here in New Zealand, have used your forum for a few different head aches I've had in the past and its been hugely helpful so much appreciated. I've just got back into my rotaries again and have landed two FD rx7s. One of them seems to have a problem which with your guys help, if I'm lucky, I'm hoping isn't a rebuild but hey if it is then I'll just have to shead a few tears and get on with it haha.

Hi Chris.
Gullwings on the black one, classic:icon_tup:. How are you going to put them on the road or are you selling them as race cars etc. I imported my car under special interest vehicle rules, are the 7 s eligible for this. Only one vehicle though and have to own it for two years. Nice examples of FD s.
Cheers Darryl

Hey Darryl,
Yea I had to laugh when I got offered the black one in Japan it certainly turns heads. They are both 1992 models so are more than 20years old when I imported them so they can be complied as a classic which in turn makes them a normal road car. Im just going through all the cert and compliance with the blue one at the moment.
Cheers for the comment and I'll keep posting more photos up of the rebuild if I do it haha.
............Chris

Right, forgot about the 20 yr rule although looking at the cars I would never have thought they were 92 s. With the dollar the way it is at the mo it is a good time to buy from Japan. What is the problem with one of the cars you mentioned.

Yea I've been waiting for about two years so I could import the batmobiles and get them complied, so got the first of the 92 model rx7 FD's. Yea rate isn't too bad at the moment just a matter of finding the right ones and getting them for the right price. The blue one I have concluded has blown water seals unfortunately but runs mint other than that so I'm going to rebuild it while its still ok. Going to strip it down this weekend and organise all the parts next week for it.
