New Member, Barn Find 82 "S"

Hello all!
First post here and first venture into the world of Rotary Engines. I just inherited a 1982 RX-7 "S" Model from my late grandfather. He loved the car because of the unique engine, purchasing it from the original owner in 1984. At the time he purchased it, it had around 9500 miles on the car with only 2 oil changes done by the local Mazda shop in Grand Rapids (Dealership was called "The Car Barn" and sold Porsche, Audi, and Mazda). In the fall of 84 the car made a round trip drive to Maryland by my grandmother, bringing the millage around 10,500. He would sparingly drive the car over the next year, and in September of 1985 the car was Ziebart rust proofed with 10,768 miles on it. Fast forward to 2018 and about 3 years since he passed, I have finally gotten time to go pick the car up, as a true barn find the car hasn't been plated since February of 1988, and only has 10,985 miles on it, still has the original non dry rotted tires that were still holding air, on a spotless car. It was stored in a wooden barn with concrete floors, absolutely no oil or fluid residue on the floor. This car is a true time capsule and I'm glad to say that I'm going to keep it as OEM as possible. Pictures will be posted below.

Very very cool, a professional detail will do this car tremendous justice.
The window trims really stand out.

The '88 registration sticker is upside down. I wish I could ask your grandfather if that was intentional, so cool.

I'm curious as to the state of restoration. Nice pristine example. What kind of work has been performed and is it running yet?
