New member from Alberta!

Hello, My name is John and this is my first time ever posting on a forum!

I purchased a 98 RX7 FD from Japan, I am currently waiting for the car to land in BC and i am having it shipped to Calgary to have Adam at RX7 Specialties do some work on the car for me. I read this forum alot and i cant wait to be a member with my own FD!

Hi John and welcome to the community! Nice to have you here. Thanks for sharing pictures, your RX7 looks great! Do you have any particular mods in mind yet?

Thank you! I do have quite a few mods in mind. My ultimate goal with in the next few years is to be able to take my car to the local track. I've noticed that a lot of people decide to do the single turbo conversion but after consulting quite a few people I've decided to stay with the twin set up and upgrade to some high flow twins and reach up to the 400hp range which I think will be ideal for track applications.

As for mods I have a long list of stuff that I'm having done when the car gets to alberta courtesy of RX7 specialties:
New engine with new housings and rotors, race apex seals, oil mods, and clearanced rotors and balancing.
Apexi GT cat back with mid pipe (keeping the downpipe stock for now)
Apexi power FC
Upgraded Intercooler (not a FMIC for track resons)
Intake pod filters
New aluminum radiator
New coils, plugs, wires
AST and coolant sensor
Battery relocation kit
ACT stage 2 clutch and ACT ultra light weight flywheel and counter weight
Pulley kit
High flow fuel pump and filter
Steel braided metering lines
Greddy elbow, BOV, and pipling

I think that's everything the car will probably be in the shop for 3 weeks and after the break in period and a dyno tune I should make 330-340 to wheels *fingers crossed*. After that il probably just enjoy it for the rest of summer then my plan during the winter is to install some coilovers and a bushing kit and start concentrating on the suspension.

I could go on and on about my plans for the car but once I start a build thread I will talk more about the car and do a step by step process of the transformation of the car over the next few years! If anyone has suggestions or input I'm always happy to hear it.

Thanks!

Thanks! The left pop up head light needs a little paint to get it back to black but other then that it looks real clean. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

RX7_Evolution 04-24-15 03:23 PM

Haha I never thought about it that way! Il have to see it in person and then il make a decision lol

Hahaha totally! Yea I actually like the lazy eyes kit you can get were they only open part way or they are fixed part way. I don't like the scoop thing on my car so in planning on getting a replacement of some kinda at some point. I've spent a retarded amount of money already and I haven't even picked up the car yet so Im gunna just to litle clean up stuff for awhile and not drop huge dollars until winter.
