I have a very rare tenth anniversary edition 1980 Rx7

Denoted by the "X Anniversary" emblem. This was the anniversary of Mazda's rebirth in the US, not of the RX7. The anniversary edition was available on 626s, GLCs, and RX7s, but only 8000 were made in all three models total so exact numbers of RX7s is unknown/unreleased.

This is a one owner, very well cared for, always garaged car. It has less than 132,000 miles on the chassis and 94,000 miles on the original rebuild-able engine. The original engine began to leak oil but was running fine when it was replaced. The second engine has begun to leak some oil, but runs very well and it passed its last smog inspection with wide margins. Other than the engine the car has all the original equipment with which in came off the showroom floor. The original radio still works as does the air conditioning. This car has no rust anywhere.

I have thought about conversion to a "light hybrid" that is one that stops the engine at lights and uses the electrical motor during acceleration to assist the engine recharging the batteries during deceleration. Some marine power plants include an electrical motor which is of bell housing diameter and about 6 inches long. Has anyone here thought of putting an electrical motor like that between the engine and trans on an Rx7?

Best regards,
John
