New and looking into 2nd gen RX-7
 

I just registered here because I am looking for a new car for under 7k and there are a few I have been looking at and a FC RX-7 is what I am leaning towards. I kind of wanted to post this in the 2nd gen forum but I had to have 3 posts first so I guess I'll post it here.
I was just wondering if anyone with a S5 FC could maybe give me a few tips on what to look for when buying one used, and also just some general info about the car.
The other cars I have been considering are a Z31 300ZX, a MKIII Supra or other cars similar to them. I also wanted to know what you guys think of the FC RX-7 compared to these cars, not just as far as speed but also all around, handling, how it feels to drive, etc. I really like the RX-7 because it is so light, and still decently powerful and just looks like it would be fun to drive.
My last car was a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S and I wanted to upgrade to something RWD and a little quicker, but I still want something that has the light feeling like you are connected directly to the road like that did, and also that is really easy and fun to drive.
