New here and losing my mind waiting for it to get here!

Hey everyone,

New here, I just bought a 2001 Type R Bathurst R from mainland Japan. I have a couple more weeks before it arrives here in Okinawa and I can’t wait!

Nice.... the temptation to mod it and do all the things will be great but you must resist. You will have the most road time with the car if you LEAVE IT ALONE. Stay out of the engine bay. Just keep up with maintenance and respect the car and it will treat you well. If you are compelled to do something, stick to exterior mods.

Its a great car and Okinawa has plenty of roads to utilize what it's capable of in stock form. No where there requires more than what the FD is capable of at stock levels.

Take your time with the car, ask questions and do a lot of reading. The FD is not forgiving to those that are impatient or ignorant. You will find great anguish if you don't respect the chassis.

Very nice example. This car had a very cool sales brochure, if you can find one.

Pic of the interior showing the rare plastics, please.
