New FD3s owner
 

Hello everyone,

I had recently bought a 93 FD as a project to work on and I am located in the Houston area. The car currently does not run, but I have plans to get the engine rebuilt since it is probably due for one.

I have some knowledge on how the car operates, but I am still relatively new when it comes to understanding how to redo the vacuum lines as the previous owner was in the middle of converting it to a single turbo before he sold it to me. Any help or advice would be appreciated since I am new to the scene.

They sound a little overwhelming at first, especially electrically, but the more you dig into it the more you realize the same principles apply to these troubleshooting-wise as any other car. The factory manual is also extremely useful and the PDF can be found online by googling rx7 manual.

Beautiful car congrats. Vacuum lines on the rotary aren't too bad, just take your time and read up before digging in and you'll be fine.

I remember seeing this car on CL. Smoking deal.

So jealous of the factory alloys. So hard to come by in the UK for a decent price.

Congrats, and clean car! I've run across a couple in similar situations mechanically but have been too scared to pull the trigger on them given my lack of experience with these cars. Good luck and hope you get her back on the road soon!
