New to FC's, Drifting, and the Inland Empire
Hey y'all. My name is Gabriel, and I've recently moved to the Inland Empire in sunny California.
I'm really wanting to get into the drifting scene, and to one day compete in the Pro Am, and possibly even beyond. I've spent a bit of time on a popular 240sx forum thinking that would be the best option for a newbie drifter. However, after spending a considerable amount of time on this forum reading about J.T.P., Forrest, Buckey Laing, and even Kyle Mohan and his success of the 13B in his RX8, I've decided an FC is the car for me (plus I've always been a huge fan of the rotary). I've yet to purchase one, due to financial restraints. However, as soon as I'm employed again, I will be buying one. :D So for now, I'm driving a '95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. :facepalm2: I plan on going out to AMP every Thursday night whenever possible until then to get as much of a feel for the sport as I can. So hopefully I'll see some of you guys out there... Thank you for all the awesome useful and inspirational content on this forum! |
Welcome, Gabriel!
Good luck on getting your FC. Please post some pics once you are able to get one. :) Kent |
Thanks, Kent!
And I most definitely will be posting pictures and creating a build thread once I do get one. :D |

Either way, there's other pros that come out too, so it's a pretty tight event. |

They also have Tuesday night grip/time attack. Supposedly, that's the place to be if you're just starting to drift. :icon_tup: |

Get one, chop your springs weld up the diff, and wind up the boost and you will be away laughing.

if your looking for some descent practice time amp is def the way to go, however when you do get your FC, show up on friday nights for drift practice. its a lil more relaxing for a newer drifter-you get a lot more track time without a bunch of random people judging you. i have missed out the last couple weeks, but i am there on a weekly basis during the summer- my name is brandon in a white fc
