I am a retired 66 years old. Worked at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital for 44 years. Married with two boys in their 40's. I have had my red 1988 rx7 convertible 5 speed since 1989 . It has 90,000 miles. Only problem I ever had with the car was a flooding issue in the early 90's. A MAZDATRIX modification that leaks the gas back into the gas tank when shut off corrected the flooding problem. I would like to know if there are any x7 car shows held and where. Thanks

Hi and welcome! The west coast has Seven Stock and the JCCS (Japanese Classic Car Show) probably the 2 biggest gatherings in the US. Chicago has a few meets for J-tin and tuner-type cars, mostly a facebook thing. Pittsburg has an annual fall meet for vintage vehicles (Pittsburg GP or something to that effect). Every spring there is a Rotary meet in Tenn at the tail of the dragon. This forum site has a whole section for meets and events. Browsing there or in the 1st or 2nd Gen section, will reveal more info. Congrauts on such a long ownership. Pretty much an original owner!

Hi, young guy from very small town in Ohio (1000 people). I’m 19 years old and have held two engineering jobs and currently a Quality Control technician & CMM Programmer. I am a very technical person and love to learn about anything. I bought a 1981 Fb with a 12a in it in hopes of rebuilding the entire car into a streetable drift car. Lots of work has been done on the car since I found this forum and wish I would’ve took many more pictures to show people what I did when fixing the car.

Flooding problem reply

The modification was a brass h shaped fitting. Sometimes it takes about 10 seconds to get gas from tank to the 13b. Has never flooded since mod was installed. Thanks for the reply
