My Lady in Silver.
Hi everyone,my name is Bashir.
I'd like to give a shout out to everyone from Vancouver BC!. I am so excited that I finally got my 7. About a month ago I went to take a look at the car and I knew right away that I had to have it (after all it was almost the same car I learned to drive in on a frozen lake when I was seven and a half). I just replaced the rad as it was leaking and the water pump for good measure, as well as a bunch of maintenance stuff cap, rotor, plugs, oil, A/F blah blah blah etc. The car is a 85 GS 5sp 12A dipped in a sexy silver. Its only got 160,000KM on it so she's got lots of life left in her as long as I take good care of her. Not without fault thought, the tack doesn't work, it has a good number of exhaust leaks, first is stiff when its cold, the carb needs a tune (my cat glows orange with the choke on for more than 5mins), the fuel pump relay is jumped, and just recently I got a bit carried away and I think I may need a diff. Never the less, I am extremely pleased with the car and intend on keeping it for quite some time. It's good to be a part of community. |

Well at the moment my car is "up"... on jackstands that is, I need to find a diff for her. I was out for a leisurly Saturday drive when out of no were a round-about apeared. Reacting immidiately I dropped to second and accelerated. I swong in to the right then cranked it to the left but allas black ice steered me under until I caught traction and my rear end kick out wildly into the curb. After pulling over to the side of the road I notice a large portion of my right rear wheel missing and my pan hard bar stud laying quietly at the exit of such devious round-about. So I hobbled home with my spare tire on and ever after I have been in search of required assets to once again prowl the roads in glory.
