Moving from 1J IS to FD

Hey guys, just signed up here to hunt for an FD for next year and get that ball rolling. Last car was a VVTI 1J IS300 sportcross, had a 6262 and made 425whp@17psi. It came to an unfortunate end and I had to part it out, but now I have some cash burning a hole in my pocket and am looking to move to an FD as my next project.

Welcome to the board. :)

As a fellow Toyota enthusiast, I can appreciate what you had. The original IS was, in my opinion, perhaps the best car Toyota made since they quit making sports cars. Anyway, read up what you can and familiarize yourself with the board. When you eventually get the Rx-7, then you can share your new journey with us.

For sure, was a lot of fun and I really do miss it already.

Seems to be that theres a lot of pretty good grade FDs coming in through the 25 year law in the 18-20k range fully titled/legal. Any reason to stay away from them and go to a US market version or is it all the same once you go big single? I dont mind RHD and have driven plenty of RHD S chassis and skylines, so thats not really a negative to me.
