Lurker no more

I am currently in Japan and I just purchased an 1995 Efini FD3S. It is still going to take a couple of weeks to ship. I will post pics when I get it. For now, just learning and enjoying everyone's work.

While in Japan, maybe stuff some Cosmo 20B engine/harness setups in the same shipping container. Lord knows we need as many as possible back home

I'm confused, you're in Japan, and are shipping your 1995 FD3S to home? I don't think they're legal yet in the US. Next year however...

Are you from Canada, or somewhere else?

Oh, okay. Do you get to drive it while you're there, or are you mostly on base?

I just got the paperwork for the car. it was sold to me as a 95. but looking at the vin number (FD3S-301680)... it says it is a 94? Is that correct? Just want to make sure I will be able to ship this back to the states when it is time.

its a little late to verify that dont you think? take the paperwork to your insurance and ask what the production month and year is. they will tell you. honestly, you should be more concerned as to whether or not you will still have the car come 2020. based on my experience 100% of people that said they are going to bring their fd back............. have not. something goes wrong and they just wash their hands with the car and get a skyline like everyone else. people dont understand all the extra baggage that fd ownership brings when they buy the car and that it ultimately their demise. i wish you luck

Went for a long drive this weekend. Beautiful scenery, up and down the mountains with no stop signs and most important, NO TRAFFIC. Japan is awesome.

Dude that car is beautiful. It has been my fantasy to get stationed in Japan, but my job doesn't have a slot over there! Hope you are having fun with the new toy
