Hi I have owned an 83 rx7 with the targa roof for over 17 years. Unfortunately 15 of that I have been forced to leave it in my garage. Anyway just thought to see what this site is like and seeing how much interest there still is in rx7's.

1983 Rx7 back in its prime. Now looking more like a dusty old garage find with some minor front end damage to the bumper. Needs TLC.

Ah if only that was possible. Unfortunately I'm hoping to find her a new home. I don't have the financial ability to restore her. Once upon a time I wanted to replace the 12a with a turbo 13b. Being standard I already have a performance clutch installed. I have after market exhaust. I have a practically new oil cooler I wanted to install. Breaks will probably need to be redone. New tires are needed. I have the original hood but it would need paint. When I bought her she had only one small spot of rust at the back where the exhaust is but the body shop had fixed it. It used to be a dull red with almost maroon redish leather interior. I was slowly converting it to a black/grey interior with cloth seats. Hot leather hurts! lol Anyway it has potential to be a great car indeed. I just cant afford to do it.

Shame you can't restore it in small steps. Just clean it up nicely and ever week or so, fix one small thing on the car. After a few months, the car will no doubt be running and your enthusiasm for the car will be back tenfold! Thats how I restore my cars. I buy small parts every week or ever couple of weeks. Its taken me a year and a half on my Corvette restoration and I've put 170 miles on it this week and I've been super happy with the car. I couldn't afford to do it all at once, so I did it in stages.

Hi, I really can't do much to it. There is too much going on in my life (long story) and I'm actually going to see about posting it in the market place here. I've held on to it long enough without doing anything with it. I would rather find her a new home to someone who can take care of her.
